Working within our international Media team, you will be responsible for underwriting a caseload of new and renewal business for clients operating within the creative industries. You will work closely with the Underwriters, Managers and the Team Leader in order to provide exceptional service and forward-thinking insurance solutions to this evolving sector. You will be responsible for building and maintaining existing broker relationships, as well as proactively seeking out new business opportunities and championing our product offering both internally and externally.- You will have a proven track record of successfully operating within an underwriting function and a keen interest in the media industry as well as a desire to develop your technical underwriting and business development skills.Key responsibilities
- Manage caseload of new and renewal business accounts of varying size and complexity in all territories within underwriting guidelines, meeting and exceeding individual and team KPIs and providing exceptional service.
- Developing and maintaining effective business relationships with broker counterparts, including focused development with key stakeholders and seeking out new business opportunities.
- Support and lead team projects (e.g. product launches, sub-sector research, presentations etc.) to include internal and external presentation delivery.
- Developing technical underwriting and sector knowledge in order to enhance underwriting appetite.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the Media underwriting team on technical queries.

Skills & experience
- Articulate and influential, with the ability to liaise with and influence internal and external stakeholders on specific cases, as well as long-term business objectives.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with the ability to prioritise and excel against underwriting and sales KPIs whilst working under pressure.
- At least three years within the insurance industry, with strong knowledge of professional indemnity based insurance products.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs in relation to new business, retention and cross-sell.
- CII certification (Dip preferred)
