Our client are one of the leading care providers in UK with multiple branches throughout the nation. They deliver top quality care service to their clients with physical and mental disabilities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **payroll administrator** to join their payroll team.
**The Role**:
You will be the main contact for dealing with complex payroll enquiries and processing mid-month, weekly and month end payrolls and managing timesheets (manual and electronic).
**Key responsibilities**:
- Process high-volume payroll from start to finish.
- Provide initial support for payroll inquiries.
- Handle changes to Tax Codes.
- Establish and maintain Court Orders.
- Calculate retroactive payments based on change forms.
- Support the Payroll Team to meet all deadlines.
- Enter monthly timesheets.
- Coordinate with an external payroll provider.
- Communicate with managers to verify new hires and departures.
- Ensure accuracy of all information for HR and finance.
- Collaborate with pension providers regarding new hires and departures.
**Requirements**:
- 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced payroll role.
- Strong understanding of statutory payments such as Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity SPP, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Proficiency in manual payroll calculations.
- Sound knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Familiarity with ITrent is advantageous.
