**Morrison Energy Services** **is recruiting for a **Health and Safety Coordinator** to work on our Scottish Power contract in **Scotland**.

In November 2021, Morrison Energy Services Limited secured a Cabling Laying Framework for Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) where it has five districts (all except Glasgow) across Southern Scotland - Approx. value £25m / year ( or £5m / District) for the next year with a possible extension of two further years.

As the **Health and Safety Coordinator** you will provide administrative support to the SPEN contract SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality) team, assisting in ensuring that all work is carried out as identified to the required standards in accordance with the relevant business policy, procedures, plans, standards and legislative compliance and client requirements.

**your responsibilities will include**:

- Coordinating the booking of staff training and updating the contract competency matrix.
- Analysis of contract data performance to identify trends and produce appropriate reports.
- The production of contract SHEQ KPI reports as identified.
- Monitor and input data as identified into the contract waste management system.
- Issue weekly reports on outstanding actions from the reporting system and inspections.
- Maintain records of incidents and accidents.
- Assist in administration duties such as booking of meetings and meeting minutes.
- Tracking and data storage of accident and incident documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of contract inductions.
- Adopt a flexible approach to work and its completion so as to maximise performance whilst minimising cost.
- Contribute to the development of their team to meet the current and long term needs of both the SHEQ Team and Operations.

***Skills & Knowledge Requirements**:

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to analyse and prepare concise, accurate reports
- Good knowledge of appropriate Health & Safety legislation, policy, and procedures is desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude
- Ability to think creatively, work with and support operations at a team level
- Ability, to promote understanding and performance improvement by providing timely and constructive direct feedback
- Able to self-motivate and operate with minimum supervision
- IT literate and proficient at Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Use of other data systems such as Power Bi desirable.
- Efficient use of a training management system is desirable.
