We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Leader Coordinator - Theatres who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.


You will be responsible for the coordination of thetheatre department including managing daily staffing requirements, supporting theatre teams to manage list efficiency, problem solving and amending rosters, Deputising for Band 7. To provide effective and visible leadership, expertise, advice, and support to the theatre department team and ensure the provision of high-quality care to patients and families.


To assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department within allocated resources

Qualifications / Training
Registration with NMC/HCPC
Evidence of on-going dynamic continuing professional development
Leadership or management training
Experience of coordinating and managing patient care

Previous experience of change in management and problem solving
Experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints
Implementation of personal development plans
Management of more than one theatre area
Effective teaching, training and preceptorship skills
Adaptable and flexible approach to work
Basic computer skills
Can utilise data to provide meaningful information
Can participate in resource management

Understanding of professional and current issues in perioperative care
Awareness of equality and diversity
Understanding of resource management, health and safety, clinical risk and quality issues

Ability to carry out an audit and interpret and collate information and data
Ability to formulate and implement Trust policies and procedures

Experience and evidence of engagement around the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda. Able to actively support the development of a culture that recognises and promotes equality, values diversity, and actively leads by example in deploying these qualities. Understands the impact on equality, diversity and inclusion issues in all aspects of service delivery and planning
