**MARKETING SPECIALIST**

**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing communication and marketing activities to enhance brand visibility and support overall business objectives. Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, this role involves creating and compelling content across various channels, managing social media presence, and fostering effective communication strategies.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Create and coordinate interesting and engaging content for all ESWL marketing activity, social media channels and company website, ensuring the company brand, culture and messaging is maximized across all forms of communication.
- Proficient in editing PDFs and PowerPoint presentations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess graphic design skills to craft visually appealing content suitable for social media, business cards, banner and brochures.
- Ability to create eye-catching posters and update and enhance organigrams.
- Produce quality written material for social media, media articles, website and internal communications. Offer original thought leadership articles, opinion pieces to establish ESWL as procurement experts through marketing channels.
- Collaborate in the planning phase of our new website, contributing to strategic decisions.
- Monitor and manage the company website, ensuring messaging consistency and alignment with the corporate brand.
- Demonstrated skills in planning and managing events, ensuring seamless execution and successful outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships with external stakeholders e.g., clients, agencies, Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of B2B marketing and social media trends.
- Represent the company at key industry events where required.
- Proactively look for marketing opportunities and be a positive contributor to the wider team.
- Work on own initiative to ensure all deadlines and timescales are met, and all allocated projects are completed on time, even in dynamic or last-minute situations.
- Complete other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time by line manager

- Be creative and innovative, maintain self-motivation levels to achieve the highest standards of performance.
- Be solutions-based with good analytical, planning and organising skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

**DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Knowledge of Photoshop/InDesign or Canva
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Office environment, desk-based working with phone and screen work
- Light manual handling
- Moderate manual handling of marketing material at exhibitions or company events
