We are now recruiting for a Head of Reporting & Control to join us at our flagship UK office in Leyland.

In this role you’ll maintain and improve the standard of financial control and ensure the business operates within the appropriate laws and regulations. You’ll drive efficiencies in reporting and controls and deliver a quality service to stakeholders and provide challenge and business partnership to the Finance management team on consistency and appropriateness of financial controls.

As Head of Reporting & Control, you will be the ‘go to’ person for all engagement with the CAA/ABTA regarding regulatory matters including filing of reporting and negotiations on licence renewals.

This is a fixed term role expected to last 6-12 months on hybrid basis, based at our Leyland office 3 days each week and working 2 days remotely.

**Job Accountabilities**
- Work with the CFO and the Finance Directors on the transition from the current operating structure to a new operating structure.
- Ensure financial control is in line with Group Financial Reporting manual and policies
- Own and develop the overall UK Finance policies and procedures manual
- Run the process for completion of local UK and internal audit
- Completion of statutory accounts for all UK entities
- Liaise with other external bodies including bankers, consultants, HMRC, CAA, ABTA and ATOL
- Provide reporting to the CAA/ATOL linked to licensable turnover, and renewal requests
- Line management responsibility for Regulatory and Financial Control Analyst, group treasury manager and group reporting manager

**To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications**:

- ACA qualified
- Strong PQE with leadership experience
- Experience of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Experience of influencing in a matrix organisation
- Up-to-date technical skills - IFRS
- Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - you will engage with colleagues on a daily basis and you'll need to ensure processes and standards are being followed
- Sage X3/TM1 knowledge desirable
- Experience in the Retail, Leisure or Travel industry desirable
