**Job Summary**:
Are you a proactive, engaging and creative individual with a proven record of engaging and working positively with socially excluded children, young people or adults? Do you have sound experience of delivering sessions to groups and/or mentoring young people effectively?

If so, join St Giles as a **SOS+ Facilitator**, where you will play a key role on our SOS+ Project, delivering awareness-raising workshops to children/young people across educational and community provisions, on topics such as Gangs and County Lines, and Weapon Awareness.

**About this key role**

As a **SOS+ Facilitator**, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and early intervention training sessions and interactive workshops to groups of children and young people in an educational setting on the risks associated with all aspects of gang involvement, exploitation, and violence.We will also count on you to support the delivery of sessions to parents and professionals when required, and to develop and maintain professional relationships with external agencies, including local authority partners, police, Youth Offending Teams, educational provisions and other stakeholders.

Working closely with the pastoral and safeguarding leads, upskilling partners, attending partnership meetings as well as contributing expertise around lived experience and local knowledge are all also key aspects of this role, as is assisting with providing monitoring information and the evaluation of the project and maintaining accurate records of one-to-one mentoring work, session work and data collection.

**What we are looking for**
- Personal direct or indirect experience of the issues facing the client group
- Experience of assessing needs and thereafter providing support and advice to children at risk of harm
- Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of a project
- To have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or a willingness to work towards one
- Knowledge of the issues facing this client group
- The ability to speak confidently in front of large groups delivering key messages
- Outstanding interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
