Marketing Events Manager

Memcom recruitment has been tasked with finding an **Events Manager** for the Gem-A,The Gemmological Association of Great Britain. Gem-A is the world’s longest established provider of gem and jewellery education and Membership services.
The organisation is looking to grow their marketing team in order to achieve their goals of attracting more student members and partners worldwide. The Events Marketing Manager will be tasked with driving acquisition, engagement and retention through eventsand will support marketing initiatives on a global level.
**This hybrid role will be an integral part of the organisation's growth strategy**:
- You will be the event lead, project managing internal and external events from brief to review.
- You will deliver membership gatherings and webinars.
- Responsible for logistics, co-ordination and marketing for their conferences, and presentations around the world.
- You will be required to build-out and execute a Tradeshow calendar on time and within budget.
- Produce reports on all event activity on specific KPIs.
- You will assist with all event related marketing campaigns and manage the events page on their website.
**We are looking for**:
- An individual with a background in events management ideally for a not for profit organisation or membership association.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Experience using Eventbrite, MailChimp, Word Press or similar platforms
- Proven experience of organising complex events of various sizes
