**Key** **Objectives**:
Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the Training & Education Navigator will collaborate closely with the HR Officer to deliver vital support to Black Talent and newcomers, helping them navigate their distinct education and training needs for successful entry into the Scottish labour market. This role is committed to guaranteeing that clients receive up-to-date, precise, and invaluable information that equips them to make informed and practical choices regarding their educational and training pathways.

The Training & Education Navigator will provide this support through a blend of workshops and personalised one-on-one guidance within our TalentPointr project. This critical role encompasses working with stakeholders including universities and organisations to ensure Black Talent have access to training and opportunities for positive destinations in Scotland.

**Educational and Career Guidance**

Conduct one-on-one sessions with Black Talent to assess their training and educational goals.

Provide personalised guidance on training and educational pathways as well as training opportunities, and career planning

Assist Black Talent in developing action plans to achieve their educational and career objectives

**Resource & Opportunity Identification**

Research and identify educational programs, scholarships, and training opportunities relevant to individuals' needs.

Connect individuals with resources, programs, and community partners to support their educational and career journeys.

Stay updated on current educational and training trends and available resources.

**Community Collaboration and Administrative Support**

Collaborate with educational institutions, community organisations, and employers to establish partnerships and resources

Participate in community events and fairs to promote educational and career opportunities

Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of educational and career guidance

Ensure that services are accessible and culturally sensitive to individuals from various backgrounds.

Assist in administrative tasks related to program coordination, scheduling, and communication

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective operation of the education and training navigation programme.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21 per week
