Could you be a Holiday Coordinator?
As Holiday coordinator you will be working with two existing coordinators to coordinate and manage Sense National Residential Holidays and Short Breaks Programme. A high-quality project for children, young people, and adults with a complex disability, enabling them to have a safe and fun holiday with likeminded peers. As well as working across other short break projects within the Holidays and Short Breaks team as and when needed. To ensure each project is conducted in a safe and effective manner, in accordance with Sense policies and procedures, and meets measurable outcomes.
This is a Fixed term contract ending in March 2026, working 37.5 hours per week. Based flexibily between our office in Selly Oak, Birmingham and Home.

**Discount scheme Your duties can include**:
Coordinating the delivery of other Holidays and Short Break Team projects, potentially including but not limited to virtual events, day events and residential breaks.
Ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe manner, considering the participant’s needs and wants, and providing a balance between accessible risk taking and situations where people may come to harm.
Working hands on with the children and young people both alongside volunteers and where necessary to cover volunteer absences to support the continued delivery of a high quality service.
Managing the rolling recruitment of volunteers to meet the needs of the service including: identifying gaps in provision, promoting and advertising volunteering opportunities online, through project partners and at events across the local community, coordinating volunteer recruitment processes, working effectively with the volunteering team. Your required skills and experiences:
Experience of working on your own initiative to deliver a high quality and reliable service, project, or programme.
Demonstrable experience of working effectively with people with complex needs who use a range of communication methods, and their families.
Experience of putting in place processes that ensure the safeguarding of children and of delivering excellent quality standards.
Previous experience of writing and carrying out risk assessments, recognising the importance of balancing risk against opportunity.
