**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Art Handling and Installation**:

- Safely transport paintings and artworks to and from exhibition sites.
- Install artworks according to museum-grade standards, ensuring precise alignment, spacing, and lighting.
- Utilise specialised tools and techniques to hang paintings securely and safely.
- **Exhibition Support**:

- Assist with the preparation and installation of exhibitions, including wall preparation, mounting hardware, and layout planning.
- Collaborate with curators, exhibition designers, and other staff to execute installation plans.
- **Conservation and Preservation**:

- Follow best practices for the conservation and preservation of artworks during handling and installation.
- Monitor environmental conditions in exhibition spaces to ensure artworks are protected.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of artwork movements, installations, and condition reports.
- Provide detailed documentation of installation processes and any adjustments made during installation.
- **Professionalism and Client Relations**:

- Represent professionalism and excellence in every aspect of work, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with museum staff, curators, and clients to understand and meet their expectations.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Art Handler, Installation Technician, or similar role in museum or gallery settings.
- Expertise in art handling and installation techniques, including the use of specialised tools and equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of conservation and preservation principles for artworks.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing installation plans.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy or delicate artworks.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification or formal training in art handling, museum studies, or a related field.
- Experience working with high-value and fragile artworks.
- Familiarity with museum-grade installation standards and practices.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel to various locations as required.
