**Shift Pattern**:Monday to Friday 37.5 hours - 9am-5pm

**Pay rate**:£26.88 to £29.33 per hour excluding Holiday pay

They support children and young people to understand what is being said to them, express themselves and produce the sounds needed for clear speech. In some cases, speech and language therapists also work to help children with their eating and drinking.

They also help with social communication skills and interacting with others, as well as specific conditions such as stammering or hearing impairment.

**Main duties of the job**
- Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
- Short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
- To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the GHT and MHST.
- Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
- Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

- Appropriate qualification and experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties
- Passion for providing collaborative and evidence-based mental health care
- Enthusiasm for multi-professional and multi-agency working
- Ability to travel between multiple sites

**Person Specification**

**Qualifications**

**Essential**

Appropriate qualification as either a Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist (Doctoral) level training and relevant UK Professional Registration (HCPC/BPS) or equivalent

**Desirable**

Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of mental health and able to demonstrate significant practice.

**Essential Criteria**

Experience of multidisciplinary and multiagency working eg: with local authorities, education settings and other community services.

Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the relevant professional body.

Car driver / owner able to travel to other locations within the trust using own vehicle (mileage paid)

Enhanced DBS

**Desirable Criteria**

CYP IAPT Training e.g. CBT, low intensity EMHP or CWP trainingSystemic Family Therapy, Attachment based training Interpersonal Therapy [IPT].

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

- Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
