**Overview of project/role**

Delivery of efficient, effective, transparent and fair topographical Knowledge of London assessments ensuring the high standard of Knowledge required by licensed London Taxi Drivers is maintained.

Responsibility for the provision of guidance, advice and support to new applicants and existing Licensed London taxi drivers through regular face to face and written correspondence and the investigation of route-related complaints made against drivers.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Delivery of the All London and Suburban taxi driver topographical Knowledge test ensuring all applicants meet the required standard before being licensed.
- Work as directed by the Knowledge of London Manager in respect of scheduling Knowledge of London assessments and examinations to ensure that key performance indicators are met.
- Assist with the investigation of route-related complaints when required and asked to by the Knowledge of London Manager

Work with the Knowledge of London Manager to identify and deliver continuous improvements to the Knowledge of London examination process, focusing on efficiencies and improvements to the end-to-end process.

Maintain and update own and team’s topographical knowledge by carrying on-street activity and as agreed and directed by the Knowledge Manager by recording and passing on information to the rest of the team.
- Any other duties as directed by the Knowledge Manager.

**Skills;**
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels both orally and in writing
- Confidence to deal patiently and effectively with potential applicants and members of the public
- Effective interviewing skills with a high degree of diplomacy and tact
- Proven assessment skills and an ability to make sound recommendations
- Customer Service skills
- An ability to plan, organise and prioritise work
- An ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative
- Hold a valid driving licence and be required to drive a vehicle on duty

**Knowledge**:

- Must have passed the All London examination ,have a good knowledge of the taxi and private hire trades and an understanding of TfL’s key objectives and strategy
- A good level of knowledge and understanding in the provision of training and the delivery of examinations

**Experience**:

- Must have passed the All London taxi examination process and have an unblemished driver record
- Must have held an All London Green badge license for at least two years
- Experience in working in a high-pressured working office environment
- Experience in dealing with members of the public on a regular basis
