The role of Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment for employees under your direct purview, aligning with statutory regulations.

**Duties & Responsibilities for this Payroll Assistant position**:

- Ensure verification of electronic submissions, receipts, changes received from branches and manual forms from the Office.
- Make sure the weekly/monthly branch hours for processing are uploaded.
- Calculate and ensure smooth processing of statutory sick pay (SSP), statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory paternity pay (SPP), and statutory adoption pay (SAP).
- Validate and input P46/P45 tax forms.
- Manage the monthly payroll for 5,000 employees in the company.
- Handle payroll operations specific to Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Eire.
- Ensuring all data received in payroll is accurate and ready to be uploaded.
- Verify and remit voluntary deductions.
- Generate required reports for other departments using Excel.

**To be successful in this Payroll Assistant position**:

- Has 1-2 years of payroll assistant experience.
- Ideally experienced from a similar size business
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge in excel.
