Maintain oversight of, and update where necessary, FTP policies.

Ensure up to date information is provided to School students and staff regarding
FTP policy and procedures. This will include lectures, seminars and online
materials.

Work closely with the Health and Conduct Lead, chairing Health and Conduct
Committees as required.

Monitor CANVAS content and work with university acadmics, LEP’s and admin
teams to ensure this is properly populated.

Work with all Year leads, both clinical and academic, and the school administrative
team and university administrative and legal team to ensure that process is
followed.

To facilitate and contribute to medical school FtP induction and training for
academic and clinical teachers as necessary, in the university and LEP settings.

Contribute to teaching and assessment on the MBChB programme.

Supporting the Undergraduate Programme Lead (UPL) and Deputy UPLs in the
continuous development of school specific strategies and plans relating to FtP.

To produce an annual FtP report to the School Management Committee.

- Liaise with the GMC to ensure ongoing compliance with all requirements to

achieve and maintain accredited status. Advising the University of any changes
to accreditation status.
- Undertake an active role in a variety of key committees within the School

governance structure.

- Design, plan, review and innovate in activities and materials that support

- GMC registered Doctor of Medicine (MBChB/MBBS)
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Membership of relevant professional and regulatory bodies in areas of

work/education/research
**Experience**:

- Experience of Fitness to Practice processes within medical education
- Proven and in depth understanding of the NHS and HE environment and

the complex dynamics of their relationship.
- Experience of medical student progression and the associated governance

arrangements
- Experience of the MBChB structure, medical student teaching and learning

requirements including GMCs Promoting Excellence and MLA
requirements, and student pastoral structures and processes.

- PhD/MD/Doctorate
- Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g. Certificate in Medical

Education)

**Experience**:

- Previous experience within a management role within the NHS and/or

Higher Education sector, working across University and NHS organisations
with an understanding of associated governance structures.
