Senior Finance Officer

The University of Manchester are looking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer.
You will be a member of the faculty financial reporting team working under the guidance of the Head of School/Directorate Finance.
Your role will be to assist with the annual reporting cycle, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for your area of responsibility.
This will include (for the assigned Schools/Directorates) assisting with the production of monthly management accounts/supporting financial reports and month end activities (calculation of deferrals and accruals, preparing and inputting journals onto the accounting system, reconciliations etc), analysis of variances to budget, inputting into future forecast and longer term financial plans and providing finance support to budget holders.
You will be customer focused, flexible in your approach, and work in conjunction with other finance colleagues, covering for and relating with them in order to develop and enhance your role and the service delivered by the Directorate of Finance.
