- 8:30am-4pm**

**Pay Rate: £75-90 per day**

Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting an independent alternative provision in Leigh which caters for children and young people aged 4-18 with autism and complex needs. The school require a Teaching Assistant for their secondary school site on a temp to perm basis.

The school’s teaching staff are supporting by the school’s Pastoral team as well as their in-house therapy team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Therapy Assistant, and an Assistant Psychologist.

The school offers a nurturing environment and is a Trauma Informed School, providing a supportive environment with family support for all their young people.

This unique school takes a fun approach to the curriculum, centred around the children’s interests, in a bid to rekindle a love of learning in children who may have had a previous negative school experience or spent a significant period of time out of the classroom.

**Requirements of a Behaviour Support Assistant**:

- Previous experience supporting young people in an educational environment
- Sound knowledge of SEMH
- Must have a current DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
- Relevant qualifications will be an advantage but not required
- Be able to provide references covering at least 2 years.
