of its expansion programme. This exciting role plays a pivotal role in delivering key

business messages and positioning Travelodge as a progressive growing company that is

Reporting to the PR Manager and working within a dynamic PR team you will play a

pivotal role in delivering Travelodge’s annual PR strategy which supports the company’s

business plan and helps create awareness of the Travelodge brand. You will gain

experience in all aspects of PR activity which includes: corporate, property, consumer

and travel PR as well as social media to support media relations.

The PR Executive position plays a fundamental role within Travelodge’s busy press office.

Key responsibilities include the day to day management of the press office, assisting to

deliver the annual PR strategy and assisting with the new hotel openings programme.

Travelodge is featured in print, online and broadcast media on a daily basis and requires

a motivated, enthusiastic and confident operator to keep up with the fast-paced

atmosphere of the press office.

This role offers a vast opportunity for an up and coming PR professional to develop their

skill set within a world class PR team and become a top PR operator.

**Main Duties**:

- The day to day management of the press office which includes: being the first point
of call for the press office phone and inbox, dealing with media enquiries and
gathering information for media statements
- Be responsible for recording and evaluating media coverage daily, compiling the
weekly press cut and creating media intelligence reports and presentations for the
business
- Be the first point of contact with Gorkana (our media monitoring service)
- Supporting the team to deliver the annual PR activity programme which entails desk
research, drafting press releases, selling into all media channels and building
journalist contacts.
- Assisting to deliver the annual travel PR programme
- Supporting the Property PR manager to deliver the annual new hotel openings PR
programme which includes organising creative opening events and obtaining media
coverage for individual hotel openings.
- Supporting the PR team with press release sell-ins and fact finding.
- Showcasing PR activity on social media channels
- You will be required to travel occasionally to support new hotel openings

**Key Skills**
- Have a good understanding and passion for PR
- Some PR experience would be desired
- Be highly organised
- Have strong administration experience and good attention to detail
- Be confident to be able to liaise with internal and external people
- Relentless drive, enthusiasm and conviction
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Ability to manage several projects at the same time
- Be able to work on their own initiative and easily within a team
- Educated to degree level (Preferably in PR)
- Social media skills (not essential)

Location: Thame (Oxfordshire) but some travel into London will be essential
