**What’s it all about?**

As Head of Media Relations you will lead an experienced Press Office and PR team to deliver strategic communications campaigns across Consumer and Travel PR, supporting the wider business priorities and delivering an increase in media coverage and positive Brand awareness. You will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the public perception of Travelodge and manage the Company's response to issues management and media relations across the UK, working to improve the profile of the Travelodge business and executives across key media.

Your strategy development will involve you creating and executing PR strategies that deliver a programme of high-profile media opportunities that showcase the success of the business. You will build and maintain relationships with media outlet journalists and influencers elevating our status as a leading authority in the budget hotel sector. Crisis management will form part of your responsibilities by developing and implementing crisis communication plans to safeguard the brand's reputation during challenging times.

**Who will this appeal to?**

You are a credible authority within the field of public relations and excel in a fast paced, commercially driven B2C brand, with experience in the leisure or hospitality industry ideally.

You are strategically minded and able to plan for varying scenarios and solve potential issues. Your strong commercial awareness and creative approach to business storytelling coupled with your ability to use data to create compelling brand news angles ensures you achieve positive results.

You have a clear and concise communication style with the ability to translate complex topics into simple language that resonates with the business priorities alongside a strong stakeholder engagement approach, building collaborative relationships with the ability to persuade and convince.
