**The job in a nutshell**

To provide centralised operational treasury services to the business ensuring high quality end to end treasury processing and accounting is provided. Manage the delivery of high quality timely and accurate recording of all cash and banking transactions, reconciliation of all group bank accounts, daily cash movement for cash flow insight and banking platform processing.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Payments and Accounting Activities
- Ownership and circulation of daily cash movements report for both OpCo and PropCo arms of the business. All cash movements correctly analysed for cash flow model reporting.
- Responsibility for monitoring and managing the treasury payments inbox. Ensuring all payment requests are reviewed and dealt with in a timely manner. Review of payment requests to include validation of request, appropriate back up for business and VAT purposes, relevant approval in line with the Delegated Authorities is provided, and accuracy of all financial bank data.
- Inputting of all payment requests including systematic AP payment runs, adhoc generated non AP ledger payments and interbank transfers, to the banking portal. Coordination of documentation to bank approvers to facility review and bank release.
- Forward planning for time management purposes to ensure significant key payments are prioritised, to include bi-monthly supplier payment runs, property rent/rates/service charge, quarterly bond interest, PAYE and VAT.
- Liaison with other business departments and building cross function working relationships to ensure quality standards of payment requests are upheld.
- Weekly rollover of the cash flow model to provide flow of banking activity data to the FP&A team. Ongoing liaison to share relevant cash movement and payment insight for cash flow planning purposes.
- Production of month end bank reconciliations and balance sheet templates ready for review. Ensuring completeness and integrity of all transactions recorded in the accounting ledgers.
- Calculation and posting of the month end interest receivable accruals across all interest bearing accounts and Money Market funds.
- Weekly monitoring of cash balances to review allocation between banking partners. Considering treasury policy, yield rates and spread of risk. Delivery of proposed action to Head of Transactional Services.
- Monitor balances of foreign currency accounts, calculating required transfers as needed to maintain balances in line with policy and considering commercially advantageous movements.

Banking Activities
- Maintaining a working relationship with banking contacts to support the Head of Transactional Finance with day to day banking queries.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all bank cut offs, charges and payment methods. Application of that knowledge to best aid the business in making efficient and cost effective use of payment methods. Also knowledge of company banking mandates, ensuring compliance in relation to banking activities.
- Oversee the integration of new bank accounts to the business’ processes and systems, including MT940 set up and platform access.
- Periodic review of all banking mandates and contact lists to ensure up to date and relevant. Completion of banking forms and internal approvals required for any mandate changes.
- Maintaining and reviewing all Direct Debit and Standing Order instructions held by the company, including ensuring correct set up of instruction and all future payments accurately paid and matched to valid financial document.
- Responsibility for safe ownership of company cheque and paying in books. Maintaining appropriate records of all outward and inward bound cheques, ensuring a complete deposit of all received cheques, and clearance of all issued cheques.

Other treasury duties
- Maintaining the bank approvers rota and supplying the fortnightly planning tool. Identifying gaps in cover to make arrangements to ensure business continuity.
- Providing contact for the external audit on related matters including bank balances, reconciliations and bank journals.
- Provide ongoing training of cover staff to ensure up to date and complete knowledge shared.
- Ad hoc tasks relevant to the role as required by Head of Transactional Finance.
