**Description**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Producer who will deliver on the increasing demand for event recordings and clips, podcasts, and video, graphic and animated content for the Chatham House website and associated social media platforms. They will create, edit, and commission audio and visual content to engage our various digital audiences.

They will need to source ideas and execute high-quality content pieces independently, and have the ability to shoot and edit content, and to lead on developing multimedia projects.

As part of our News and Comment team, this role will work closely with the team as well as collaboratively with colleagues across Chatham House and with external partners. It may also require direct management of external freelancers and agencies and running multimedia schedules of work for the Institute.

Due to the nature of the role, you will occasionally be required to work outside core hours ie. evenings and at weekends. The role will be hybrid with a consistent expectation of a minimum 2 days in the office per week.

**Delivery**:

- Create and manage the production of original video, audio and other multimedia, including editing a weekly podcast and video clips from our events.
- Work collaboratively to plan content around trending topics and news events in a timely manner.
- Commission and handle the production of video, graphics, interactive features both from in-house and external sources for in-house production.
- Coordinate delivery and provide feedback to contributors when multimedia needs reworking or developing.
- Ensure all material aligns with Chatham House editorial and brand guidelines, copywright, legal requirements and be a leader on visual branding development.
- Take a lead on managing the Chatham House YouTube channel and work alongside the AV team on event livestreams.
- Key role in developing briefs and production through to completion.
- Shoot and edit original video content to support projects using budgets appropriately, both in the UK and potentially overseas.
- Ensure all multimedia is produced to agreed budgets and schedules,

**People**:

- Create working relationships with new contributors and build on existing ones.
- Ensure multimedia production is managed smoothly with internal and external partners.
- Support others across the Institute in learning basic video production and provide training as appropriate.

**Strategy**:

- Play an active role in driving increased engagement with visual and audio content across our website and social media platforms.
- Contribute to developing original content ideas and work collaboratively as a team to deliver.

**Relationships**:
This role reports to the Head of News and Comment, working closely with the Social Media and Podcast Manager, wider communications colleagues, Audio Visual team, researchers, and other teams at Chatham House.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Ability to shoot and edit video autonomously.
- Demonstrable experience of industry-standard editing tools for video and audio (such as Adobe Premiere Pro) and post-production work and graphics packages such as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
- Experience in commissioning, filming and editing video material for digital channels.
- Significant experience of creating graphics and other forms of multimedia content.
- Experience delivering at pace, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Basic budget administration and managing invoices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to think creatively in producing multimedia content to meet strategic objectives.
- Understanding of legal requirements around video production and usage, including copyright.
- Knowledge of visual content on social media channels and what video formats work best across different channels.
- Experience of working in, or an interest in, international affairs.
- Awareness of the political landscape and media cycle and how this could affect development of digital content.

**Salary range**: £33,000 - 37,000 per annum

**Contract**: Full-time, permanent position
