To be a member of the Occupational Therapy team supporting therapists in the delivery of an Occupational Therapy Service.

To provide an efficient clerical and word processing service skills to the Occupational Therapy service

To develop and maintain effective systems of work appropriate to the department, in line with Health Board Policies

To Manage the waiting lists using appropriate electronic systems for outpatients attending the department

To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation supervision and other identified developmental activities.

To provide cover for other clerical staff within therapies to include general reception duties as delegated by Locality Lead.

To manage staff queries independently within appropriate guidelines (e.g. A/L, sickness, Payroll).

Come and join the innovative and friendly Occupational Therapy team in Swansea Bay University Health Board. The post will support the Childrens Occupational Therapy team.

There is a permanent, part-time (24 hours per week) Clerical assistant post available to support the team at The Childrens Centre at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Working days will be Monday - Friday. Flexible as required.

The role involves supporting the Head of Paediatric Occupational Therapy service and the clinicians in the Paediatric OT team, as well as helping to manage waiting lists, liaising with the public and streamlining current systems with the use of technology.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
