**Utility Collections is a fast-growing debt recovery scale-up.**

Your experience of being a Collections Agent has probably felt transactional to this point.

You see a number on a screen, you call the customer, and you ask for payment. Then you negotiate back and forth and set up a payment plan. Done. Onto the next one.

It’s repetitive and the customer is in defence mode. The experience can be tough.

It’s different at Utility Collections.

We partner with energy suppliers who don’t have the capability to recover bad debt. They might not have the infrastructure, the team, or the knowledge.

Their customers become our clients, and those companies are usually facing pretty unique circumstances which aren’t always clear in the first instance. That’s why you’ll need to take a consultative approach to work here.

We have to protect the brand reputation of Utility Collections and our suppliers.

So we don’t bang doors down. We work with companies to find the best result for them and the best outcome for the suppliers we work with.

In some cases, that might not be a payment. It might just be an incorrect meter reading or a change of tenancy.

That’s why you need to think beyond numbers to be successful here.

It’s also why energy experience is going to be really important for this role.

**The Challenge**:
Utility Collections is a young company, but we’re growing fast. That typically means that processes are still being improved, and whilst technology is helping us to innovate at pace, people need to bring a start-up mindset to this company. We want your ideas.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Poulton le Fylde: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
