**The Opportunity**:
Leonardo designs and develops cyber and security solutions for UK government agencies and commercial organisations that form our critical national infrastructure, to address the modern and evolving threats to wellbeing, security and public safety.
- Head of Procurement is a strategically focused role for the Cyber & Security Solution Division, you will be expected to support development and implementation of the Leonardo corporate vision for Supplier Contract Management as well as the Divisional/LGS strategy.Head of Procurement (Cyber) will have a proven ability to create and manage complex contracting scenarios and provide leadership across the entire project lifecycle in diverse markets & supply chains. The incumbent must also have a proven ability to develop and direct a team, manage external parties (suppliers/partners) and influence strategic cross-functional and Divisional relationships.-
**What you will do**:
As Head of Procurement, you will be accountable for all supplier Contracts Management leadership for Cyber Division; Providing strong functional governance and assurance aligned with UK & divisional policies that supports the agile delivery aspirations of our business.You will manage the partnership with strategic suppliers to support long-term planning and joint investment; promoting supplier intimacy, internally and externally to ensure positive relationships are built, developed and maintained.A key component of the role is collaborating with other functions to bring solutions and innovation into play early in the lifecycle. You will develop and deliver sound, innovative and compelling offerings underpinning the business needs.You will take ownership of negotiating complex arrangements, incl. planning and creating negotiation strategies, agreements, resolving any complex issues and impasses.As part of the authority for approval, you will ensure contractual commitments are clear & unambiguous and within the Company’s approval parameters including risk and cash flow.Leading by example, you will ensure team adherence to functional governance and business processes and directives incl. undertaking appropriate due diligence; Generation of management reports and business inputs for current account and business reviews;As a leader, you will be central to the development of your team and will support them in achieving their personal and professional objectives to drive their development in their field, by understanding what motivates them. You will embody and promote our Cyber Division ways of working.**What we are looking for**:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven collaboration, communication, planning, problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement skills
- Proven experience and knowledge of the market sectors and able to demonstrate moving relationships to partnering level.
- Implementing the functional strategy in line with the business strategy requirements.
- Possesses expertise to be called upon as a leader for specific complex assignments.
- Technical training to degree standard, professional qualification and/or significant domain experience.
- Able to define a strategic approach to dealing with the Company markets, products, customers and suppliers.
- Able to provide advice, guidance and leadership in customer and people management with the development of competencies for the requirements of the function.
- Ability to engage and influence cross-functional/cross site teams.
