Junior Accounts Assistant

Construction company is looking for an organised individual to join our accounts team as a Junior Administrator covering maternity leave. Office - Bromley, South East London.
They specialise in groundworks and civil engineering projects in the South of England. Whilst a large portion of our works lie within civil projects. They have a busy office environment and are looking for someone to join accounts team assisting with invoices and purchase ledger tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices monthly to ensure suppliers are paid in line with our monthly purchase ledger, matching invoices to purchase orders on our system
- Liaising with buying department to highlight and resolve invoice queries
- Dealing directly with suppliers accounts teams, handling any queries and invoicing or accounts issues
- Checking supplier statements against invoices to produce remittance slips
- Answering phones, screening and directing incoming calls to office staff members
- Covering reception duties when required, including general administrative tasks and ordering stationery
- Previous experience in administrative/accounts role preferred but not required, full training will be given
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence in dealing with clients, colleagues and customers
- IT literate and confident working with Microsoft systems, with particular knowledge on Excel
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively within a team and provide support to all departments in the office when required

- 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
- Salary - TBC based on experience
