Purchasing Administrator

We are currently seeking a detail orientated Purchasing Administrator for our small management team.
This is a key role designed to provide administrative and purchasing support to aid the smooth running of the business. We are looking for a true team player who will collaborate with employees (at all levels) and take a lead role in the purchasing needs of the business/production department, build relationships with our suppliers and act as a point of contact for our customers.
We are looking for someone who will be an advocate and driver for change recognising areas for improvement and supporting the business with change management.
About the role:
- Coordinate purchase requirements from various departments.
- Keep relevant databases up to date.
- Communicate and take enquiries from customers.
- Use a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office & internal databases.
- Prepare documents such as letters, reports, presentations and spreadsheets when required.
- Handle queries from management, team and customers etc.
The successful applicant must have the ability & skills to:
- Work as a multidisciplinary team, establishing good working relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrate excellent numerosity skills
- Demonstrate a high-level working knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills.
- Work independently and act on own initiative, (proactive and forward thinking).
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects on time and to a high standard, working to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Understand the organisation's aims and objectives.
- Show a willingness to be flexible.
- Problem solving attitude with eye for detail (attention for detail).
**Essential Skills**
- Ability to demonstrate a good level of general education to GCSE standard in Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Willingness to learn.
- Experience of working as an administrator in a busy office environment.
- Familiarity with office equipment.

Based in Bingley we are a growing personal care company specialising in the formulation and manufacture of high quality, short run, white label products. Our clients vary from niche cult beauty brands to both national and international personal care grooming labels.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
**Experience**:
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (required)
- Microsoft Word: 2 years (required)
