Technical Support Officer - Yeovilton
- Salary £53,000 to £63,000 per annum dependent upon experience
- Onsite working - 35hour week
MASS would like to welcome an experienced Engineering Manager into the role of Technical Support Officer within our small team at the NATO Joint Electronic Warfare Core Staff (NATO JEWCS), RNAS Yeovilton.
As the Technical Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role within a multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for the on-site and deployed maintenance of the NATO JEWCS fleet of Electronic Warfare training assets, including delivering packages of work relating to obsolescence management and capability enhancement.

How your experience will be utilised:
- Ensuring adherence to engineering standards, policies and procedures as well as owning the NATO JEWCS Configuration and Change Management processes
- Attending scientific working groups worldwide, technical conferences and events providing updates to the customer regarding developments in EW and technology
- JEWCS SHEF and RADHAZ Advisor providing the JEWCS Command Group with Health, Safety, Environmental and Radiation Safety related advice and guidance
- Management of the Airworthiness of the NATO JEWCS fleet of Jamming / Simulation Pods, liaising with the NATO contracted flight provider and other National certification agencies
- Providing support as required to MASS Business Development activities through the Strategic Systems Director
The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more:
- Management of Airworthiness in accordance with MAA, CAA, EASA or similar regulations is highly desirable as is experience of CIS service support and/or the management of cryptographic equipment. If you are a Chartered Engineer that would be wonderful although not a deal breaker as MASS are true proponents of learning and development and we will help you achieve your aspirational goals
- It goes without saying that you should have strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a confident, articulate and innovative manner
Our non-negotiables:
- You must be eligible to work and live in the UK and be a national of a NATO member country and be willing to deploy on exercises worldwide.
- Due to the highly secure nature of the work you will be doing, you must be willing to undergo and maintain appropriate NATO Cosmic Top Secret (CTS) Security Clearance
