Financial Controller

£60-£70k + 10% bonus
Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office
A leading healthcare company based near Melksham are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller
Reporting to the Director of Finance and responsible for a team of two this represents an excellent development opportunity for someone in practice looking to make their first move in to industry or someone currently in a Finance Manager role seeking a newchallenge. The two members of the team are studying towards their accountancy qualifications so will require support and development. The Director of Finance is commercially focused and keen for the finance function to develop in to a value add part of thebusiness, implementing process improvement and a continuous improvement mindset.
The business are part of a larger group who are growing their R&D presence across Europe. There is significant investment going in to their health and wellness product line and there is a real focus towards putting the customer at the heart of everything theydo.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller
- Responsible for timely submission of financial reporting data under US GAAP, to support monthly quarterly and full year results to Group
- Accountable for the integrity and accuracy of the divisional financial information held on the accounting system including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
- Lead the cash management process for the division, responsible for preparing robust and achievable working capital forecasts and explaining variances against expected performance
- Interface with Group Reporting and FP&A team regarding Actuals, Budgets, Forecasts and other Financial Matters where alignment is required with the local business.
- Key Audit (internal and external) and Risk and Controls contact.
- Responsible for production and consolidation of cost centre actuals reporting to provide analysis and insight into variances between actuals and expected financial results.
- Responsible for preparing entity level forecasts for all relevant entities, including forecast R&D and management recharges.

Experience / Qualifications required for the Financial Controller
- Degree qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar
- Experience of working in a global organisation.
- Financial reporting experience - US GAAP preferred but not essential
- Proven record of delivery against reporting timetables and deadlines.
