**Finance Assistant**:
**What you will do**
- Respond to guest queries relating to credit card charges.
- Responsible for main float and change for hotel, following cash handling and banking procedures.
- Responsible for petty cash.
- Completion of sales ledger invoice checks to ensure correct posting to client accounts.
- Sending of sales ledger invoices to hotel clients.
- Posting and allocating Sales Ledger to payments to correct account in PMS.
- Manage and run Credit Meetings to monitor payments and credit with external business and clients.
- Post Invoices into financial systems.
- Allocate payments made to suppliers in financial systems, highlighting any variances to invoices.
- Ensure Travel Agent commission payments are made, using commission processing systems.
- Assist Financial Controller in month end documentation and reporting.
- Reconciliation and completion of company credit cards.
- Respond to and assist with any customer queries that are relevant to the finance department.
- Ensure that all standards in the Finance areas are met and that and assist in the annual internal/external audits and any issues that are highlighted are resolved immediately.
- Ideally have hotel experience within a finance role.
- Ideally have functional experience of Opera and Sage X3 systems as well as Microsoft Office suite.
- A confident and clear communicator, comfortable with running financial meetings with other members of the Management team and interacting with guests.
- Actively participate in creating an ongoing proactive, positive culture within the team following relevant initiatives and practices, to ensure that the highest standard of (both internal and external) customer care is delivered at all times.
- Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude and promote efficiency, courtesy and confidence within the department.
- Understand other department’s needs and the implications to the Finance department, promoting and ensuring good inter-departmental relations and promoting a good company image to colleagues.
