We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Warrington, which is easily accessible via public transport.

**About the role**:
As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will lead the SLT service and its development in a culturally diverse in-patient setting.

**Your main responsibilities as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist**:

- Provide a high standard of Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) assessment and intervention, including other local settings as required (such as conducting dysphagia assessments in the absence of another Lead SLT)
- Contribute to the continued development of a high-quality therapeutic service
- Manage a complex clinical caseload ensuring high standards of care that is flexible to the needs of the person using evidence based / person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention
- Provide specialist Dysphagia assessment and intervention to patients, utilising competencies and experience at a specialist practitioner level

- Degree in Speech & Language Pathology
- Current HCPC registration
- RCSLT Membership
- Evidence of Post-graduate study
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Leadership and service management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- verbal and written
- Ability to adopt a systematic approach
- Clinical reasoning skills
- Training and education skills
- Able to work independently and show initiative
- Expert knowledge in dysphagia and communication disorders
- Experience in delivering group or individual based interventions
