Pay rates and contract hours will be confirmed at interview but will start at a minimum of £12.50 per hour. Day and night shifts of 10 - 12 hours required. You will have a mixed shift pattern that includes the weekend but will start on day shifts so you can get to know the clients’ needs.
- Our client is 20 years old and has cerebral palsy affecting all four limbs. He is non-verbal but uses a non-formal form of eye gaze to communicate. He requires a hoist for all transfers and uses a specialist, moulded insert in his wheelchair.
- Our client is sociable and enjoys being with others. He loves music, film and watching TV programmes, such as Top Gear.
- Our client has recently started attending a day centre, which you will be required to support him to/from and whilst he is there.
- Our client needs support with therapy programmes, access to the Community and _**all **_his activities of daily living.
- **This position involves support with personal care.**_

Our clients’ complex needs include:

- 2:1 care,
- Tracheostomy and PEG care,
- Continence care,
- Oral suction throughout the day,
- Administration of medication (via PEG),
- Frequent repositioning and use of hoist/ moving and handling.

**Essential Requirements Include**:

- Experience working in complex care,
- Ability to work as part of a team,
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic,
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.

**Preferred**:
Be able to drive, caring and enthusiastic nature, flexibility to work additional hours as needed, a positive attitude and an excellent sense of humour.

Full training will be given, there will be a probation period of 6 months.
