A world-renowned environmental consultancy business is currently recruiting a Business Development Associate, based out of their Manchester site. As Business Development Associate you will be responsible for incoming sales enquiries from clients whilst havingthe ability to identify new opportunities.

**Business Development Associate responsibilities**
- Handling incoming sales enquiries from clients, you'll respond in a timely manner to ensure we maintain high levels of service and client satisfaction
- Defining what the client needs, you'll liaise with laboratory staff to ensure these needs can be met and, then prepare quotes
- Identify opportunities with new and existing clients and make calls to develop new quotes
- Nurture client relationships to ensure ongoing opportunities are realised and the cost of sales is minimised
- Use the systems and tools we have in place such as our Laboratory Management System (LIMS).
- Work closely with marketing to develop lead-generation campaigns and supporting content that highlights our value proposition and distinguishes us from our competitors

**Business Development Associate requirements**
- Ideally degree level qualification but not essential.
- Previous experience in a sales/key account management role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively communicate at various levels within organisations.
- Great communication skills including telephone manner
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Lab/scientific experience would be beneficial
