Here at Helvar, we are in search of a talented and dedicated Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely and efficient operations of our company's supply chain. Reporting to the Head of Supply, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager team and leverage your expertise in demand planning and knowledge of ERP systems to estimate future product demand, analyse inventory flow, and develop accurate forecast models.
**What you will be doing as our Demand planner**:
- Collaborate with the Product Manager team to develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns, providing guidance for procurement, production, and distribution activities.
- Assist the Head of Supply in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure seamless supply and demand alignment.
- Propose and implement solutions aimed at improving demand forecast accuracy, such as refining forecasting methodologies and leveraging data analytics tools integrated within the ERP system.
- Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to the Product Manager team and senior management, presenting clear insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.
- Monitor and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies, enabling proactive adjustments and resource allocation.
- Perform regular maintenance of forecast models within the ERP system, reviewing and updating them to reflect evolving market conditions and internal factors.
- Address demand-related issues promptly and effectively, collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly the Product Manager team, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize the capabilities of the ERP system to gather and analyse data, generate comprehensive reports, and provide visibility into demand planning and inventory management activities.
**What skills we would be interested in**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a demand planning or forecasting role
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures, encompassing inventory control, replenishment, and optimization.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge, coupled with proficiency in advanced forecasting techniques, data analysis, and modelling.
- Proficiency in working with ERP systems and leveraging their functionalities for demand planning and inventory management purposes.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborative mindset with a proven track record of successfully working within cross-functional teams, particularly the Product Manager team and senior management.
