**What your role is**

This position deals with high degree of complexity across several SC functional areas, business environment and will involve a moderate level of traveling locally and internationally.

**Purpose**
- To support the achievement of the Company’s short and long term business objectives within agreed quality, cost and efficiency norms, by strategizing, developing, and directing Supply Chain functions (Supply Planning, Co-pack Management, Projects, Logistics, Procurement, Purchase, Technology & Process Development, PEAK, and HMM), and to develop the Company’s Supply Chain capabilities so as to be a source of competitive advantage. This position will focus on the Continuous Improvement processes as a core enabling capability to achieve these objectives.
- To develop and motivate the Supply Chain teams, by creating and enabling a high degree of employee engagement and ensuring executional excellence at all levels.
- To align Supply Chain as a true business partner across the organization; to be an integral part of the International Supply Chain organization and contribute to the achievement of the Regional and International Division’s business and Supply Chain strategies.
**Responsibilities**
- Optimize the Supply Chain by establishing strategies that enable the achievement & maintenance of desired customer service levels, minimize total delivered cost, and improve effectiveness of manufacturing strategies within defined constraints. Continuously improve the operating environment to improve margin through cost reduction and quality enhancement.
- Lead and oversee the manufacturing operations at Company locations, co-packer and contract manufacturing establishments. Work closely with the International Division and other supply points to establish operating guidelines to ensure consistent and dependable sources of supply for the directly managed product portfolio. Activities include developing replenishment schedules and negotiating with supply partners to get the most cost effective supply.
- Lead the Supply Chain activities in line with the Company’s PEAK process methodology. Responsible for the generation and maintenance of simple standardized business planning processes, providing a high degree of data integrity for the business. Maintain the Class A certification and work towards constantly bettering the processes and standards. Educate the leadership team and all stakeholders in Class A principles, and determining a long term plan for sustainability. This includes linkage to the Global PEAK team, and Centers of Excellence for core processes.
- Effectively implement the HMM planning process across supply chain and support initiatives for the overall organization.
- Deliver the committed HMM targets and build a culture that focuses on Continuous Improvement.
- Build a strong, high performance organization to enable business growth and develop a strong pipeline of talent for future development.
- Build and improve overall logistics expertise to optimize market manufacturing & distribution network aligned with future business development plans. This includes accountability of all General Mills stocks in-house and in 3PL locations.
- To work closely with Marketing and other cross functional teams in new product development and quality improvement processes to provide supply chain solutions for business needs.
- Ensure efficient capital investment, project planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Provide strategic direction to the sourcing and Procurement functions of the Company, to ensure the cost optimization, waste elimination, develop strong and durable vendor relationships, and optimum productivity.
- Ensure the function’s financial goals are met, including plant score cards, budgets and cost savings. Track, measure, and analyze performance versus plan. Lead and coordinate the savings and productivity (HMM) activities through the Supply Chain function. Manage and execute a pipeline of productivity initiatives.
- Ensure ethical and responsible management of Supply Chain operations, relationships and assets. Manage governance and control procedures to comply with corporate policies.
