HR & Admin Assistant

Carvery and Grill Ltd are a family run events catering business with over 30 years of experience in the field. Due to family being at the core of our business we strive to take care of our employees. We are looking for a part time ‘People manager’ to lead and drive all things people throughout the business. Ideally you will have a passion for people and will be engaging, confident and committed to developing others to reach their potential.
The job role is a varied position and will include, but is not limited to, all aspects of recruitment, onboarding staff, professional development and staff retention. There will also be aspects of employment law, support for our onsite managers and assistance with rota systems, payroll and general queries from staff. Whilst this job is primarily HR based there will be some admin work as expected in an office environment.

Experience of HR and use of HR strategies in the workplace
Ability to assess and identify gaps in the employee relations process.
**Job description**
Creation and management of personnel files and compliance with HR law, including preparation of staff contracts, starter packs and HR forms
Management of sensitive personnel files and information
Experience and understanding of payroll systems and administration.
Prepare paperwork for the recruitment process to facilitate a smooth onboarding process
Assist in annual employee performance reviews
Adhoc office responsibilities where necessary
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
