**Your new role**
The main purpose of the role is to develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the vision, goal & strategies of the Division in order to meet current and future needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities;
- Develop and implement plans to achieve the business strategy for the division
- Develop Category Strategies for allocated categories
- Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers to meet the current and future needs of the business
- Identify areas of risk in the supply chain
- Reporting of KPI's, analysis and development of improvement plans
- Develop the supplier relationships
- Manage supplier performance
- Continuously benchmark suppliers, analyse pricing trends and utilise cost models to defend against price increases
- Effective and timely project management and coordination of Supply Chain activities
**What you'll need to succeed
Essential**
- Business or engineering degree ideally with CIPS or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven experience in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures and standards
- Knowledge of inventory and replenishment systems
- Previous negotiation skills experience
- Excellent IT and analytical skills
- Project Management experience
- Understanding lean tools and techniques
- Understanding of Contract Law
- **Working knowledge of Incoterms**:
- **Ability to travel to meet business needs (20% travel to Czechia, Finland & France)**:
- **Analytical & Numerate - ability to collate and analyse data, and draw sound conclusions**
Desirable
- Quality theories and practices - e.g. problem solving
- Auditing skills
- European language skills, preferably French, Czech, or Finnish
