Healey Supported Living Service, based in Batley, provides 24-hour support to customers with learning disabilities and / or autism. Each customer lives in their own self-contained flat and has access to a communal space. Here the customers enjoy socialisingtogether and taking part in group activities.
Each customer has a personalised support package that has been agreed with Social Care. The support we provide includes personal care, medication administration and supporting customers to access the community, attend health appointments and cook meals.
We are looking for someone who is full of creative ideas A large part of your job will be leading our ‘seize the day’ activities. This involves planning and coordinating weekly activities that customers would like to participate in.
As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll create a vibrant living environment through designing and delivering an engaging calendar of wellbeing activities, social events, outings and of course having lots of fun. You’ll promote a culture of engagement, socialinclusion, and wellbeing, supporting our customers to live meaningful and happy lives.
You’ll have the opportunity to define your own role (you’re not stepping into anyone’s shoes), so you’ll be able to use your creative spark to deliver activities for our customers with their input. Your events will ensure that there is always something goingon to engage our customers, supporting their independence and keeping them active.
We have excellent links with the local community where customers access other services and activities. You’ll work alongside partner organisations, volunteers, and our colleagues to deliver high quality personalised support to our customers.

**About you**
You’ll have a creative spark and passion to really make a difference to customers’ lives. You’ll have experience of having a job in an older person setting or an extra care service, achieving positive outcomes through support activities and intervention.
As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll be confident and experienced in delivering both one-to-one and group activities with customers and developing bespoke support plans which address individual needs and aspirations.
