Cloud Product Owner

A leading financial services corporation is recruiting a Cloud Product Owner with strong capabilities in delivering cloud related products within a regulated environment. The chosen Cloud Product Owner will create an inspiring vision for the Product outcome using industry, customer and business insights that supports the broader strategy and vision for Cloud Product development. Our client is offering a permanent salary of £100,000 to £130,000 + 40% bonus + 7.5k car allowance / 30 days holiday to be located in Chatham or Wolverhampton on a hybrid basis.

The roles primary responsibilities are:

- Create an inspiring vision for the Product outcome using industry, customer and business insights that supports the broader strategy and vision for Savings or Lending Product development.
- Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) to track the desired Product outcomes. Identifies the stretched goals and objectives as well.
- Build, own and manage a Product Backlog that is visible, transparent, and clear to all and shows what the team will work on next 4-6 sprints, providing clarity on the value it will deliver and alignment to the overall objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Define requirements (bring stories and epics to DoR) and ensure that the team have an adequate quantity and quality of stories ready for each Sprint.
- Lead in the creation of functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineering leads.
- Deliver effective and timely communication of the Product roadmap.
- Effectively manage, engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders (BDA, MTDA and MSG), ensuring they are aligned behind the products goals and kept up to date with progress.
- Work collaboratively with a range of technical and non-technical business stakeholders and thus must show high emotional IQ and be excellent at stakeholder management.

Key skill set:

- Equivalent of 10 years’ experience of Leadership and advocacy, preferably within a Cloud context is essential
- Equivalent of 10 years’ experience of strong stakeholder management and presentation skills and Agile Delivery is essential
- Equivalent of 10 years’ experience of Service Management in a cloud context is essential
- Equivalent of 10 years’ experience of senior stakeholder communication is essential
- Equivalent of 15 years’ experience IT Operations and infrastructure is essential
- Strong knowledge of Cloud adoption and migration experience including approaches and treatment types depending on scale, risk and value assessments is essential
- Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Operations (Dev & SecOPs) and Cloud Architecture is essential
- Strong knowledge of Azure functionality is essential
- Excellent awareness of designs around MicroServices, 12 Factor Applications and Event Driven architectures are essential
