Huntingdon, United Kingdom Cambridgeshire County Council Full time

About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a new Co-production Officer to champion co-production for Carers and other Adult Social Care service users across our system. You will have great relationship building skills and have communication skills that bring others with you.

If you can fill this role, then we want to hear from you

We have recently published our new All-Age Carers Strategy 2022-2026 and are committed to ensuring that Cambridgeshire’s Carers are valued and appropriately supported. The Council is committed to people with lived experience of adult social care being involved at the heart of shaping our strategies and services.

The role will work with Carers and other Adult Social Care service users, carer organisations and groups, and partner agencies to ensure that delivery of the new strategy is fully co-produced, and that Carers are at the heart of any new services, initiatives or approaches that are developed. The postholder will be a ‘co-production, involvement and engagement’ expert and champion co-production approaches to support colleagues when developing co-production plans for other Adult Social Care strategies and programmes.

Working closely with Adult Social Care colleagues, the postholder will lead on coordinating co-production and involvement approaches for Carers, assist in establishing new co-production groups or networks and ensure that involvement opportunities are accessible and inclusive.

Interviews will be held during the week commencing 22 April 2024.

About you
- Have an understanding of co-production best practice and the benefits of working in this way.
- Be aware of the importance of the role of Carers and how the Care Act applies to Carers.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
- Be able to provide feedback from Carers to inform strategy development.
- Be able to lead and facilitate one-to-one and group sessions.
- Be able to prepare reports and make recommendations to update and advise senior managers.
