**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As European Payments Reporting Specialist (Balance of Payments and Payment Statistics) in our Regulatory Reporting team, you will help us to ensure that our payment reporting to European regulators (Bank de France, National Bank of Belgium etc.) is compliant and that the reports we send are complete, timely and accurate. You will be involved in all aspects of reporting from the specification of reports through to delivery to regulators.

You are likely to be involved in all aspects of the reporting process including specifying new business requirements, managing issues or queries for the reports, be our Technical Lead on Regulatory Change, ensure that consistent controls and standards are applied across all reports and reviewing reports prior to submission.

**Job responsibilities**
- Works independently to interpret and transform the regulations into business requirement documents
- Understands our business model and how reporting rules should be applied to particular activities
- Coordinates analysis of efforts across teams in Edinburgh, Geneva and Bangalore and work with key stakeholders including Technology, Compliance, Controls, Projects, and Governance teams
- Works in collaboration with upstream business teams to ensure that we receive accurate and timely information
- Reviews and signs off of business requirements within the team
- Acts as second line oversight for the production of the reports and ensure that procedures and controls are followed

**Preferred capabilities and skills**
- Experience of working in a Payment Statistics Reporting environment
- Delivered regulatory change
- Knowledge of Payment Statistics and Balance of Payments reporting regulations
- Language skills - some of the requirements are published in European languages
