Freelance Document Controller - Durham

My Client, a subcontractor overseeing the groundworks package for the building of 5 large warehouses in Durham are looking for a Document Controller to join their site team ASAP.

**Job Summary / Performance Objective to achieve**
- Perform review of documents submitted through the change control process for format, completeness, review and approvals
- Maintains system and procedures to track processing of documents such as correspondence, minutes, reports, payment requests, change notices, change orders, claims, requests for information, submittals, schedules, drawings and contract documents

**Qualification**
- Attention to detail, critical thinker, and effective organization skills required
- Strong communication skills and proficient soft skills
- Must have the ability to multitask, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to sit for long periods of time while doing data entry and validations
- Experience in the construction industry is a bonus

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with and assist company internal departments to affect a timely and accurate preparation of order related documents
- Process daily inspection reports
- Coordinate Change Order information processing
- Process monthly contractor pay estimates and measured quantities
- Coordinate request for document material testing
- Generate discrepancy and closeout reports for the engineering function to resolve with third parties
- Performs file backup to ensure proper storage and archiving of electronic documentation
- Performing data entry tasks when project documents need updates.
