Operations at Bloom & Wild

The Operations team at Bloom & Wild is split broadly into three sub-teams, although in practice these sub-teams all work very closely together:
**1. Fulfilment & Delivery** - working closely with our fulfilment partners and carrier partners (and coordinating our own delivery network) to achieve operational excellence and optimise for customer satisfaction, delivery performance, capacity and associated COGS. This sub-team also manages our cross-functional peak planning processes and forecasting at fulfilment level
**2. Own fulfilment team**:

- Across our 3 strong brands of; Bloom & Wild, Bloomon and Bergamotte we have various warehouses across the EU. The teams based at these sites optimises for customer satisfaction, quality and associated COGs
**3. Supply Chain and Quality** - this team manages our supply chain for packaging and non floral gifts as well as working with our flower supply chain partners to optimise for quality in our supply chain

As a member of the ‘own fulfillment team’, the Head of Production is based at the UK Innovation centre, commonly abbreviated to UIC, which is situated just outside of Nuneaton and within easy reach of Coventry. Reporting to our VP of Warehouse Operations you’ll be an integral part of the Operations management team working closely with your colleagues across Supply Chain/Quality and Fulfillment & Delivery.

**The role and ways of working**

The Innovation Centre opened in July 2021 and fulfills orders as part of the range expansion plans. In this role you’ll be responsible for:

- Building the UIC from the ground up, using existing skills and knowledge to implement effective processes and procedures whilst also working collaboratively with fellow Fulfillment Centre leaders to identify and embed best practice
- Planning, organising, directing and leading optimum day-to-day operations whilst meeting budgetary/ operational targets and exceeding customers’ expectations
- Demonstrating exceptional, values driven leadership across the UIC, you’ll lead by example and build a positive team culture aligned to our core culture and values
- Recruiting, developing and leading the team responsible for processing, packing and fulfilling our customer orders across our range expansion categories
- Managing supplier and carrier relationships for day-to-day operations, and working with them to execute ongoing improvements in cost, quality and efficiency
- Supply and on-site management of all inventory ensuring controlled, maintained and accurate recording and reporting
- Driving continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiency through structured data-driven problem solving, embedding robust processes, technology and automation
- Establishing, owning and running reporting for the UIC. Providing regular, accurate data analysis to the senior leadership team
- Working cross functionally and managing multiple stakeholders, working collaboratively to solve problems
- Putting customers first at every decision, action and communication
- Leading by example to establish and drive a positive engaging culture embedding B&W values
- Responsible for Health and Safety on site, ensuring that all staff are adequately trained and provided with fit for purpose tools / equipment to fulfil their duties complying with all relevant H&S regulations, Company Policies and Procedures
