**Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils**are currently looking for a **Tenant Engagement Co-ordinator** to join our team in **Ipswich**. You will join us on a**full time, permanent basis** and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of**£25,878 - £31,099 per annum**(pro rata for part time).

Full time, part time and job share opportunities will be considered.

**What we are looking for**

We are looking for a customer driven person with housing or community engagement experience to help us develop our** Tenant Engagement Services** at Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils. To be successful in this role, you will need to shareour values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

**About the role**

The **Tenant Engagement Coordinator **will be responsible for supporting our Tenant Board, organising consultative groups and resident events, and ensuring that the ‘tenant voice’ is heard.Working alongside colleagues within the Housing Transformationteam and across the councils to deliver a tenant centred housing service and fulfil our ambitions within our Tenant Engagement Strategy.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To promote and develop the Councils’ tenant and resident engagement structure and strategy.
- To help the Tenant Board carry out their scrutiny function, making sure that they are supported and can make a meaningful contribution to service improvement and can hold us to account on our performance as a landlord
- To organise a wide variety of resident meetings and events including utilising and supporting our full engagement structure, roles and community events.
- To utilise good practice from within and beyond the housing sector, as well as develop new ideas, in order to find innovative ways of reaching and engaging with our tenants.
- To work collaboratively across different teams and departments

**About you**

A relevant Housing qualification at NVQ4 / HNC / degree level is desirable and/or experience of social housing, community engagement and an awareness of the issues affecting residents and their wider communities.
