Project Assistant

Gramm Barrier Systems Ltd is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a **Temporary **Project Assistant to cover maternity leave, starting around December to have handover training.
This position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of projects within the Construction industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Dealing with all pre-starts on a job (e.g. Plant hire, material orders, hotel bookings, Concrete Orders)
- Keeping up to date with all the vans and vehicles that belong to Gramm in order to keep them road worthy (e.g. MOT's, Services)
- Keeping up to date with all job filing including archiving
- Undertaking all accreditations within Gramm, including the preparations and being here on the audit day to answer any questions
- Ensuring all staff members are up to date with all training and if so booking them in and cooperating with the staff as to when training is and where.
- Keeping up to date with all Online portals.
- To maintain the training spreadsheet, which ensures that all staff receive the necessary safety critical and technical training and are medically fit to carry out works, both safely and with a level of competence required by both Company and industry Standards
- The random selection of staff for alcohol and drugs screenings
- Keep all appropriate registers and records up to date
- To maintain the employee personnel and professional files
- Enroll staff on Network Rail / London Underground E-Learning site for relevant courses,
- Distribute information to staff
- Ensure all staff complete all appropriate occupational health questionnaires
- For booking pre-employment medicals, medical questionnaires and where necessary occupational health risk assessments and surveillance assessments etc.
- Processing invoices against orders and logging them, to pass to Accounts for payment
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: From £28,000.00 per year
