At STEM Recruitment, we are looking for a project lead based in Glasgow.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- As project lead you will be responsible for the management of all Product Development (PD) projects as they move through our stage gate process from ideation to approval.
- You will manage and improve processes for the PD critical path, with consideration for project resources, budget and time constraints.
- Lead the internal project progress and performance status meetings and report to senior management on project updates when required.
- Team management of coordinators and specialists responsible for compliance, packaging, and project support.
- Create, review and maintain PD project plans and schedules using scheduling software.
- Complete weekly risk analysis on all project schedules
- Provide innovation team with detailed category trend research and analysis
- Liaise with cross functional teams as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule.
- Monitor and assess schedule impact of change notifications.
- Monitor and review overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders at a working and management level to provide relevant information, ensure updates and actions are progressed and escalate as required
- Use project plans to pinpoint programme inter-dependencies or clashes. Communicate these and lead development of solutions.
- Co-ordinate between multi-functional teams to resolve identified project issues.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- 5+ years’ experience working in project management for product development, within the beauty/cosmetics industry.
- Sound understanding of the principles of Project Management
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Office experience
- Experience of working with Project Management software
- Ability to manage large scale, complex projects and critical paths
- Takes active interest in beauty trends, brands and products
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Enthusiastic, collaborative and energetic
- Solution Focused with strong research and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships, working individually and as part of a team
- Always demonstrates a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
