**When**:
Monday - Friday, flexibility between 10am - 4pm

**Role summary**:
Be hands-on as a valued member of the Gardens team, keeping our gardens and outdoor spaces looking their best (and accessible to all) year-round.

**What’s involved?**:

- You’ll be hands-on with the garden team keeping the garden looking wonderful all year round.
- You will play a crucial role in delivering and implementing our exciting new planting projects.
- Working independently and as part of an amazing team.
- Working outside in most weathers.
- Engaging with our visitors to the gardens and making everyone feel welcome and able to explore.
- Flexibility to choose when you volunteer, be as involved as you want to be.
- You are important in making sure things run as smoothly and safely as possible - this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures. There might occasionally be some other activities that are of interest to you, that we could use your help with.

**This role will suit you if you are**:
Passionate about working outside with a friendly and approachable attitude. Someone willing to get stuck in with the team and get their hands dirty.

**By getting involved you could**:

- Be part of our volunteer team. Many of our volunteers have gone on to develop new careers in gardening professionally.
- Bring our gardens to life for children and their families. Look after our gardens to ensure visitors can continue to enjoy, discover and explore for years to come.
- Develop your skills and knowledge of horticulture, working on schemes created by world renowned designers Tom Stuart Smith, Piet Oudolf and Professor Nigel Dunnett.
- Make friends and enjoy meeting visitors whilst supporting the restoration of a Grade 2 historic garden.
