**About the role**

This summer placement will undertake supervised design of MOSFET transistor circuits in a friendly team environment, using leading industry software.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Schematic entry and simulation.
- The layout of circuits along with verification checks.
- Simulation of layouts including extracted parasitic elements.
- The presentation of design work for review by members of the ASIC Design Group

**Essential criteria**:

- Are in full time education at university, and will be returning to university/your studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
- A knowledge and understanding of basic analogue circuit theory
- A knowledge and understanding of basic digital circuit theory

**Desirable criteria**:

- A basic knowledge and understanding of Verilog or VHDL
- A good general awareness of modern microelectronics technologies and practices
- Experience of using design software for Microelectronics (such as Cadence)
- Experience of transistor level design of analogue circuits (Labs/project)
