We are an integrated provider of acute hospital and community services to the people of Stockport, as well serving the populations of East Cheshire and the High Peak in North Derbyshire.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide a full range of clerical tasks such as answering the telephones, Typing, filling, scanning and photocopying.
- Work as part of a team and to carry out tasks set by the team leads.
- Knowledge of data protection act and patient confidentiality, Risk Management and Health and safety procedures.
- Attend all mandatory training, e.g., fire lectures, manual handling, Basic Life Support and Risk Management.
- Screening all calls, recording messages where appropriate and ensuring all urgent matters are dealt with Promptly.
- Communicate verbally and non-verbally communications to deal with enquiries from service users/relatives, members of the public and outside organisations.
- Provide prompt responses to queries that come into the service.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous secretarial experience

Knowledge of hospital systems (desirable)

NHS System Knowledge
- EMIS
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years secretarial experience._
