Jagex is the home of the iconic massive multiplayer online role-playing game RuneScape and its family of adventurous titles. Jagex has recently begun expanding into publishing, teaming up with development partners (internal and external) who share our passion for deep, community-driven games, to partner with them to bring their games to market and build sustainable communities of passionate fans. Due to this, we’re overhauling our Publishing Platform, E-commerce, Accounts, Data Platform and Marketing Technologies to improve the player’s experience and improve the value of the customer throughout their journey.
The Executive Producer is accountable for Jagex’s Publishing Platform, including the Account System, E-commerce, Launcher and Social Services. These products are critical to the continued success of RuneScape, Old School RuneScape and the new unannounced titles. This is an opportunity to modernise the Publishing Platform enabling Jagex's current and future portfolio.
**What you'll be doing**:
**Product**
- Management of profit & loss for the product to ensure we invest at the right levels to maximize ROI in the correct time frame.
- Responsible for stakeholder management. For overall collaboration/partnering with the different products/services to ensure the proper balance of the individual games in order to amplify the overall portfolio.
- Creation of a thematic goal, 3-year strategy/value and delivery plan.
**Leadership**
- To enable a culture of transparency and the ability for everyone to understand how their work relates across the value chain in a consumable/easy-to-understand fashion.
- Responsible for ensuring we can deliver on the needs of the business through our people by creating an environment where they grow, develop and succeed.
**Technology/Governance/Risk Management**
- Balance risk with feature delivery to ensure we keep players and the biz at the heart of everything we do. PCI/GDPR etc
- Firm understanding of technology and architecture to help align integrations with Jagex games and the platform.
**What we're looking for**:
- High level of business acumen (managing a profit/loss) on a player-focused product(s) in the gaming industry
- Proven experience leading/building high-performing teams
- T-shaped leader that has expertise in business, product, technology, production and product management so the individual can properly balance those capabilities for an optimal outcome. (More experience in the different areas the better)
- Experience building Gaming Platforms that make games more successful and players happier is a huge plus
- Integration experience of games into platforms is another huge plus
**What success looks like**:
In the first 3 months, you'll build trust with the platform teams, the leadership team and product owners, EP’s and product managers across the studio. As well as the platform's capabilities and the portfolio's needs.
In 6 months, create/update a three-year-creation plan and delivery strategy. Ensure the platform is delivering and learning on its commitment. Continue to take strides in creating/enabling high-performing teams.
In 12 months, you will execute and deliver on the strategy while continuing to optimise the ROI for the platform and portfolio.
