They are seeking a **Mechanical Estimator** with suitable skills and experience to assist in the estimating of Water based projects within the UK (South Wales).

The role will involve the estimating of mechanical (with some Electrical & Civil elements as applicable) works associated with both new build, and refurbishment works on both Water & Sewage Treatment sites.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing order-of-magnitude, conceptual, feasibility, pre-design, budget, value engineering, control, definitive, and final Engineer’s estimates major change order estimates for ongoing construction of facility structures and transit operating system elements
- Have the ability to do complete estimates on all size contracts.
- Ensure the efficient operation of all systems in accordance with the Company Management System.
- Analyse enquiry contents, extracting commercial requirements and advising all interested/participating departments of the requirements.
- Interpret the “Scope of Work” and where necessary, formulate and place Sub‐Contract Enquiries and appraise subsequent responses.
- Attend “Pre‐Tender Meetings” and “Site Visits” and assessing all salient features.
- Perform “Quantity Take‐Offs” of materials and labour operations from G.A’s.

**Essential Requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Estimating role ideally within water/construction industry.
- Minimum HNC qualified or equal.
- Proficient in the use of estimating systems and processes. (Benchmark Estimating Software experience preferred).
- UK Driving License.
